I know my blog has been really active lately, almost posting every single day. I am really super bored at home so might as well clear all the backlogs of my travel posts... Since I've the time now, I should really blog often HAHAHA maybe next time start to work already, I won't even have the time to use my new laptop. :( Ironically, I also hope I do get a damn job ASAP man.
This would be the last 3rd post of my South Korea trip if I'm planning to compose each post starting on a new day in Jeju Island. So anyway, on the first day of Jeju Island, before we even flown there, we were still at Seoul. If I do remember correctly, we bought bread & salads the night before at some of their French Bakery which I totally forgot the name, for our breakfast the next morning.
It was finally a day, a day that we could sleep in till 9am in the morning. A day we could take our own sweet time to bathe, pack the bags, check-out and then proceed to the Gimcheon Airport for our domestic flight to Jeju Island by the subway train!
The train was pretty empty, like most of the people take the train to the airport only although there are some other stations along the way. It wasn't the usual subway train we took at Seoul itself. It was sort of... Another underground train apart from the usual public subway.
Yup, we arrived at the airport with extra time to spare but we had nothing much to do but to rot at some area to surf the net... While charging my phone hahaha. This dumb Shini brought lighter and kept it in her backpack which was so unlucky that HER BAG was registered under MY name instead. Then, I was being called to the room to check the bag and remove the item. This was the 2nd incident she landed me into trouble back in South Korea.
When we arrived at Jeju Island, it was already afternoon and the sun was setting in a couple of hours. The sun set at 5pm daily, like seriously... We got to Jeju Island, took the public bus with our super big backpack, and their buses are all so small... I felt so bad and awkward to carry such a big bag and board the tiny bus, like creating so much trouble for the commuters but WHATEVER, I WAS ONLY GONNA SEE YOU PEOPLE ONCE. HAHAHA
The bus journey was around 15mins before we reached our stop. The bus-stop was just 3 minutes walk from our hostel! Hahaha, no idea why but I totally have no pictures taken at the hostel itself lol and the crews there were all very chatty and helpful. Shini actually found one of the their Facebook accounts, the young one. Oh, yes, like I mentioned, sun set pretty early, so by the time we got there, we had nothing much to do for the day. We unpacked our stuffs, washed up, chilled awhile in the room before we decided to head out for dinner.
We asked the receptionist for some good local food restaurant/eatery... He recommended us with some local noodles bar or something, and passed us a map and briefed us on the directions but WTF I THINK WE WERE STUCK IN A BERMUDA TRIANGLE. God knows why, we really tried our best to navigate to the damn place but seriously, we could never reach neither could we find the damn location.
We walked for at least an hour, until the sky was pitch dark already and still found ourselves around the same places. We tried all different alleys and finding the landmarks but still, we couldn't get to the place. I swear to god, that night, the wind was ultimately strong. It was so chilly in the night whenever the wind hurled. OMG my head was frozen, and I could feel the stinging pain in my brain. It felt as though needles were pricking through my brain man, hahaha my face literally turned as black as the black pig in Jeju Island.
I can walk, I can even run... BUT walk without getting to the destination in such chilly weather really is no joke man. In the end, we ended up at somewhere near our hostel to settle our dinner. Oh, the night was accomplished when Miss Koh actually chewed and swallowed the octopus from the Korean pancake hahaha. FYI, she doesn't like squid, octopus, clams & shellfish, prawns, etc... She isn't allergic to seafood 'cos she eats expensive stuffs like lobsters, crabs, abalones... She is just picky. Dumb bitch with her fussy eating habit lololol.
& yes, not many photos for day 1 in Jeju Island 'cos we didn't tour around and nothing much going on at our area as well. We ended our first night there on a pretty low note but we got to recharge for the adventure on day 2!
Okie, now, let me proceed to day 2 adventure in Jeju Island.
We woke up... at normal waking up time and it was definitely quite early since we actually wanted to eat the Isaac Toast right outside our hostel but it wasn't even open yet. We made our way further down and stopped by this Hobong Toast instead.
PROBABLY THE BEST CHOICE WE HAD MADE BACK IN JEJU ISLAND. OMGGGGG. No joke, the toasts were definitely 100% better than Isaac Toast.

THE SAUCE WAS SO AMAZINGLY MOUTHWATERING WAHLAO EH REALLY. I FORGOT WHAT OTHER INGREDIENTS WERE BEING USED TO CREATE THIS MOTHER OF ALL TOASTS BUT LOOK!! HOW THICK IS THE TOAST IN THE ABOVE AND BELOW PICTURES. I AM DYING NOW. BRING ME SOME HOBONG SPECIAL AGAIN.

This is Shini's normal Chicken Breast Toast.
Just typical sunny side up egg, with chicken breast patty, pickles, lettuce and chilli sauce. MY HOBONG TOAST BEATS HER CHICKEN BREAST TOAST HANDS DOWN MAN. IT IS UNBEATABLE, IT IS INVINCIBLE. PLEASE GO TRY IT IF YOU'RE IN JEJU ISLAND. OMGGGG.
Guess what, we actually had the toasts for breakfast throughout our 4D3N stay in Jeju Island. HAHAHAHA. I had Hobong Toast twice, and on the last day, I ordered Steak Toast instead. Worth it, worth all my pennies. Steak Toast was equally salivating. Please just go ahead and try all the toasts already. WAIT. NO. MORE.
Okie dokie, LOL after breakfast, we took the bus from our place to the other bus terminal (that was our normal routine there), then changing to the bus that would bring us to our attraction destinations. One must not simply go there and queue for the bus... It is well-known that the buses there have different frequency and timing. If you missed the previous bus, you have to wait for at least 30 minutes or so for another bus. It is best if you can take picture of the timings on the board and use it as reference - That being said, is what we did.
AS USUAL, ALL THE RIDES TO OUR DESTINATIONS WERE PRETTY DARN LONG LIKE SERIOUSLY, YOU CAN SLEEP FOREVER IN THE BUS UNTIL YOU GET TO YOUR DESIRED LOCATIONS. WE ALWAYS SPEND HALF OF THE DAY TRAVELLING TO AND FRO, WITH SUCH LIMITED DAY TIME.
On the 1st day, we headed to Ilchubong Sunrise Peak!
I had been there before, with my dear parents 4 years ago. I went there during my poly school holidays, an add-on ticket for me 'cos I was crashing their incentive trip actually lolol. This time round, it was rather different since we had to navigate there ourselves, with parents, it was all in the tour package, so we got chauffeured around by the tour bus.
Finally, reached our destination and we gotta walk to the entrance of the Ilchulbong site.

Woohoo, and the adventure to the peak begins!

Most of the pictures taken from the peak was done by Shini. I was freezing cold from the blast of the wind and already been there before... So, I didn't bother trying to take pictures hahaha.
After the trip to Ilchulbong, we went out and waited for the bus that would bring us back to the terminal in town again. As usual, we concussed during the journey, and finally getting back to our place when the sun was setting.
What's for dinner?
We had instant Korean noodles for dinner LOLOL FOR EVERY NIGHT OMG HAHAHAHA. We tried their local rice too! 'Cos the staff were cooking and eating at the kitchen so the older staff scooped some for us to try but in return, we shared our honey pancake with them too.
Yes, day 2 in Jeju Island ended just like that but I get free THAI massage from Shini at night hahaha.
