Oh hey, school's here again!

"All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better."
Ralph Waldo Emerson

The moment I'm seated down right in front of my laptop, logging into my blogger account can only mean two things:
1. I am bored.
2. I am really bored.

It is the final week of my long break from the school, not exactly THAT long since UOL students are gonna have it longer. Basically, I kinda slacked my whole 1.5 months of holidays away but time I enjoyed wasting is not wasted at all, right?

So... During this school holiday, I did some catch-up with my shows, for instance, HIMYM Season 8, TWD Season 3, Criminal Minds Season 8, a few movies, AND resumed my Running Man variety show which I stopped watching for almost a year. There are still a few series that are uncompleted such as... TVD Season 4, Suits Season 2, White Collar Season 3. LOL THE REASON IS BECAUSE... If I continue watching the finale episodes, I will be left with nothing to watch and they are really nice shows which I don't bear to finish them all hahahaha. You know, the feeling you get when the season is ending and it seems like there would be a hole in your life.

Besides spending time on these series, I did go out with friends occasionally for amazing food, for a trek from MacRitchie to Bukit Timah, training for Mount Kerinci trek, erm, movies... & stuffs like that. Then, I had to pack my stuffs to move into the new house, preparing the equipment for the Mount Kerinci trek, etc. The trek itself already occupied a week of my holidays, and ever since I came back from there, I haven't been stepping my foot again in Singapore.

The moment I got back home from Indonesia (where the trek took place), I had to really start packing the remaining stuffs at the old house since the event of house shifting was gonna take place 3 days later right after I landed. Oh, and that was when I got really busy again 'cos it's not joke having to move house when we did everything on our own. We didn't hire any house movers to aid us in shifting the stuffs we still need from the old house to the new one. My parents drove almost everyday, at least 4 - 5 times, to and fro from the old to the new house to get the stuffs moved for that period of time.

This is when you suddenly realized that you actually collected so many stuffs, it becomes such a tedious job to clean and pack them, relocate them, and stuffs. I abandoned quite a number of stuffs, the stuffs I bought and kept since primary school which I had no idea why would I waste money like that, to buy useless stuffs, also, a bunch of clothing. I have way too many dri-fit tees, even the tees I got during my 3 years in SPA could last me a lifetime. I didn't even bother messing thru the stack of clothing in another cupboard & I just left it there. I guess, it's time to do some donation...

Oh, and when you really do a spring cleaning at home, or in your room, you really do come across some amusing stuffs. Haha, I found letters from my primary school classmates whom used to snail mail me, a couple of handmade accessories, badges, certs, many other plushies that people gave me during various occasions, photo albums, etc... Sometimes, it feels like you've just rekindled the friendship you once shared with the friends who mailed you the letters just by re-reading them and also, reminisence those long-lost memories. I urge you people to do a spring cleaning soon, you will be truly amazed with the things you found during the cleaning up!

It's been exactly a week that I've moved in, my house is still in a mess. Stuffs got delayed, like the dryer, the washing machine, the kitchen ventilation, the ceiling still unfixed, my swing chair, and some other items. Now, my mom still has to wash the clothes back in the old house and then, bringing them back to the new house like seriously. I'm still kinda pissed when the contractors agree to come during the appointed day to get things done but then, they never appear. I just don't get it, why can't they be a little more professional just a little bit? It doesn't hurt at all man... So now, the ceiling above the dry kitchen looks pretty ugly since they haven't get their goddamn people to fix the sliding door, and tidy up the ceiling board.

Also, the technician for the oven & microwave is yet to turn up when he told my mom he would send his technician either on Tuesday or Wednesday. Now, we can't use the oven & microwave since we are afraid that the installation dimensions have some problem and really, dumbass contractor didn't read the installation guide before building in our oven & microwave so now... We have to wait for the technician to see if it's alright to use them without overheating the machine or not. Sigh, this is why you can never get friends to do such a big project for you.

1) They might take advantages of the friendship.
2) When you're unhappy with the results, you don't really voice them out because you don't want to ruin the friendship.

Trust me man, this really sucks 'cos at the end of the day (after the renovation), you still need to spend a lump sum of money to amend, justify, correct the errors. I wonder how much is the additional cost my dad has to pay. It's the same as why close/good friends cannot work together in the same department, controlling the same stuffs. There will always be disputes, different opinions and whatnot, so it's just a matter of time when will both explode on each other & yea, spoiling the long-built friendship in progress.

I just hope... As the loose ends are all tidied up, the house is gonna be fixed in all ways, no more ugly marks left behind, oven & microwave can be used without worrying that it might burn down the whole house, enough sockets in all the room (this happens when contractor insisted that 2 power points/room is enough, & now, we gotta ask people to increase it like seriously, can't they just listen to what the client wants & stop finding excuses that 2 is enough for each room, to the extent that my dad didn't wanna continue talking about it so now, he has to spend extra again to get it down like wtf) So yes, hope in a month's time, all these will be fixed, & the Lim family will live harmoniously and happily ever after.....

Goodnight, people!
Happy Mid-Week!

xx.
