Everyday should be like this.

July 22, 2013

Good (Mon) Day!
A brand new week, it seems like time is passing really quickly, it's just a blink of an eye and it's going to be end of July soon. This would also mean that my 2nd part of overseas visiting lectures are gonna resume soon... I'm so used to spend my time at home (partly because I've moved, & I can do a lot of things here), deterring me from going out to Singapore for classes/ or just purely hanging out with friends.

Saturdate w/ the Addams Family!
Just 2 days ago, Shini & I headed to RWS for our musical show! It was her first time watching, and she said she wanna catch a musical show at least once in her lifetime. Many people raved about the musical show, & endless commercial keeps popping up on Channel 5, thus, I recommended this musical show to Shini. Anyhow, we bought the ticket at 30% discounted price! It was supposed to be S$125 and she got it at S$90.50 because of some ongoing promotion which she managed to find the SIA code on its website. Super awesome possum great deal!

Brunch at Marche (VivoCity)
I met her at Kranji MRT, apparently... The meetup time was supposed to be 1015am, but the time setter a.k.a Koh Shi Ni, was late! The consequence of packing bag at the very last minute and forgotten to bring the most important stuff for the day... Her passport!! It didn't really matter since we still had ample time for our brunch before making our way to RWS for our musical show!

Rosti topped with Coarse Pork Sausage
(sided with sour cream, spring onions, & lemon slice)

Sauteed Mushroom Crepe
(accompanied with garden salad)

Stuart, the lovely minion!
(Shini got it for me when purchasing happy meal!)

Brunch was satisfying, I think I can live my life with just the savoury crepes from Marche. I could eat all different flavour crepes for each day and never get sick of it!!! Alright, and then we proceeded on to RWS by taking the tram from VivoCity, I DIDN'T KNOW IT COST US $4 NOW FOR THE RIDE omg I thought it was still the usual $3 and now, my EZ-link card is only left with $4. I really hate it when I didn't manage to top up my card before I return home omggggg.

A Musical Show Worth Every Penny Spent
This musical comedy was pretty good! It was hilarious, the songs were catchy, the vocals of the casts were fabulous, not forgetting the choreographed dance moves as well. Oh... Yes, talking about musical show, I know this show is held at RWS, Festive Grand Theatre but I would like to mention that the dress code of some audiences was really disappointing and disrespectful. I know, the event is held at some tourists attraction spot, where people can enjoy the theme park and what not but seriously, who the hell wear flip flop, berms, shorts, tank top, for such events?! The casts have to put in effort to make utmost sure that the show they are going to present is perfect, their hard work on the backstage is something we won't be able to see but use backside also can think, you ought to dress appropriate to show some decent respect what.

I couldn't stop complaining about this issue to Shini when we were seated outside while waiting for the musical show to commence. OMG seriously... There was the one Caucasian family, they were all dressed in suits, and dresses. The little boy was in black formal pants, and a checkered shirt, while the dad was in blazer. The mom and cute little daughter were both in dresses as well, see, this is what I am talking about. You need not have to wear a gown, neither a tuxedo for the event but probably a jeans & a shirt, completed with a pair of covered shoes would do the trick what. WHOA SAY REAL ONE, I was kind of really frustrated back then, totally no respect for the casts.

Enough of the complaint!!
We didn't take any photos in the threatre since photography & videography are not allowed! The threatre is not as big as I thought it would be because I went for the Lion King Musical Show at MBS & the threatre there is HUGE, and Lion King Musical Show was a magnificent one, lolol I can't compare these 2 shows side by side because they were of on very different perspective genre. The Addams Family lasted for about 2 hours and then we cabbed back to Woodlands at 430pm, making it back to the custom before the crowd hits!

Thank Goodness.
The traffic at the causeway was pretty smooth, at least for the buses, the customs were not crowded with people yet as well and we got back to my house at about 6pm (removing the duration taken to lead my big bro & his friends to our house from custom).

BBQ
Yup, my bro brought his 3 colleagues over, to chill at our new house (we are not gonna have house warming but time to time, we would just ask a few friends to come over and have dinner with us), so my mom prepared BBQ for us at night. Shini followed me back home, and it was her first time here as well, and then, my second brother brought one of his friends he made back then from Curtin, in Perth. Hahaha, just so coincidentally, we all had brought at least a friend with us home...

 Crayfish!
I DIDN'T GET TO EAT IT :(

 Fat (Big) Bro
(He didn't really BBQ at all, only put the food on the aluminum foil & throw it to us. TSK. One of his friends did most of the BBQ which he claims it's his hobby...)

If you wanna eat, you gotta help out.
So here's Shini, fanning the charcoal!

 I AM IN ACTION
(I was removing the bones from the drum sticks & pierce them thru the bbq sticks (just like satay), so there would be people willing to eat them...)

Tadah!
(The End Product)

It was indeed a fulfilling Saturday...
Activities were packed from the morning till the night! As a super awesome good girl, I helped in clearing up the BBQ stuffs!! I cleaned all the utensils, plates, and whatnot. The next day, I also woke up early to help my mom (Only my mom and I woke up early... WHY LIKE THAT), went down and saw her busy cleaning up so I rendered her my help and did some washing up as well... My Sunday BKT breakfast was delayed to as late as 1230pm because my dad woke up late as well but still, a fun weekend indeed!!

Oh, and last week...
I baked some pastries for consecutive three days until my mom asked me to STOP because she said she doesn't wanna get fat to be my guinea pig and taste testing all the cakes, cookies that I've baked hahaha. The 2nd, & 3rd day of baking, I did everything from scratch, no instant mix ingredient at all. I pounded the butter like mad, I swear my forearm is gonna get bigger... I do what the electronic mixer but I AM JUST TOO LAZY TO WASH EXTRA EQUIPMENT. NO PAIN NO GAIN.

TASTE TESTING!
During the BBQ night, I got Shini and one of my mom's friends to try them... & THEY SAID THE STUFFS I BAKED TASTE GOOD but my mom's friend said they were a tad sweet for her, yet Shini said it was all good. I guess different people have different taste buds. It's hard to please everyone but as long as they all said the pastries tasted good (good enough for someone who only just started baking), all is well! :D

Oreo Stuffed Cookies!

 Stop salivating!

 Lemon Drizzle Cake

Sliced!

Alright, I shall take my leave!
I was actually trying to stay awake so I came here to post something about my daily life hahaha I WANNA SLEEP early tonight and tune back my body clock before school resumes next Monday!!! THEN AGAIN, IT'S ONLY 1.09PM NOW, SO I GUESS MAYBE I WOULD FALL ASLEEP UNKNOWINGLY LATER...

MEANWHILE, HAVE A GOOD WEEK AHEAD!!

xx
