PEACE of cake. ^^v

Hola!
How's this peace of cake look?

School for the week was done and over with!
I only had a class on Monday and after that, my long weekend has started!

Since that I have the remaining days in the week to slack around, I thought of baking again!!! I baked on Sunday, used a super duper simple recipe for some banana cupcakes but eventually, it looked good but the taste was mediocre. Reason being, LOL I THINK THE BANANA I USED WAS NOT ENOUGH and then, I used my hands to mix the ingredient as well, so it didn't turn out light and fluffy after the mixing so the cupcakes were a little meh.

TO COMPENSATE IT, on Tuesday, right before the PT maids came to clean and tidy up the house, I had decided to bake a cake for the first time, like seriously, a cake which can be used for occasion! The cake turned out super nice, be it the appearance or the taste, it was really good. Super moist, and looked like a real cake which could be sold HAHAHA

FYI, I bought the cake mould online and it's from the brand, Fred. Have a PEACE of cake, let's promote World Peace! So anyhow, I bought it on discount, at about S$9? Initially, I wanted to bake marble cake, which I already saved the recipe some days ago but there was this layered cake recipe on the box of this cake mould itself, and I just followed it instead! The ingredients needed were those normal ingredients that you'd need for baking, those basic stuffs...

Honey, Plain Flour (I used wheat flour instead), milk, eggs, baking powder, sugar, vanilla essence, food colouring, & butter!

Butter & Sugar!
(Electronic Mixer really plays a damn good important part)

Then, added in the eggs, flour, baking powder, vanilla essence & honey!
It's so light and fluffy!

 Chocolate frosting!
(I AM SO PROUD OF IT COS I MADE IT MYSELF HAHAHA LIKE NOT MUCH HELP FROM THE RECIPE)

 After 25 minutes...
My peace of cake is done!

LOOKING SUPER GOOD.
I smeared the chocolate frosting on the cake, topped with fresh grapes, and drizzled some confectionery sugar to make it look a little bit more enticing.

 The close up!
HAHA super happy with the outcome!

This is when it is sliced!
I used red, and yellow food dye. I should only mix it a bit within the cake mixture with the spatula but I got too hooked up and started to mix it evenly... So, the cake turned out to be in orange color instead of the multiple colors as mentioned on the recipe HAHA.

 Special Slice!
My mom kept insisting on putting the mango on, LIKE SUPER PERSISTENT so I gave up and told her to put whatever she wants if not she wouldn't stop nagging or repeating........
(& that slice was given to my neighbour next door!)

This week has been quite smooth sailing, and guess what?
TODAY IS WEDNESDAY, HAPPY MID WEEK EVERYBODY!!!

SELAMAT HARI RAYA PUASA (for tomorrow)
& HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SINGAPORE!! (for Friday)

ENJOY YOUR LONG WEEKENDS, GUYS!!
WELL DESERVED REST!

xx
