The Railway Experience, Evil Dead, Paul!

May 22, 2013

This blog post has been saved as a draft for almost a week...
I really wanted to blog but then catching up the series, Criminal Minds, had gotten the better of me! Besides HIMYM, CM is the next series that I would start watching it from Season 1 and it's now at Season 8 already. After months of watching the series from S1 onward, I've finally caught up to S8 but not the latest episode yet. Oh, yes... I'm back here typing is all because I've no other shows to watch anymore. Okay, actually I still have a few episodes here and there for TWD S3, TVD S4, Suits S2, & White Collar S3 and they are all my favourite series!!! I put to a halt for watching the series is because... They are all at their season finale, I just can't bear to end it hahahaha seriously, no kidding.

The Railway Experience.
4th Semester of my university life has ended about 11 days ago. It really sucked pretty big because the school issued us our exams schedule in a sense that we would have a bloody 18 days break in between my 1st paper and 2nd paper. Then, 2nd & 3rd paper were back to back, highly memorizing of heavy content needed. It's more than half a month man, I started my exams earlier than most of the students and yet, I ended way later than them!!!! What kinda shit is this, it was really a torturous exams period for me. Now, I really do hope & pray that I can clear this semester smoothly, at least give me a pass for all the 3 modules, especially microeconomics. I really hate econs but I can't seem to escape it. DAMN...

Ahhh, and after my final paper, I finally met up with my primary school classmate aka my roomie for 3 years aka my twin ('cos a lot people claim that we look alike) after a couple of months!! We settled our brunch at Epicurious Cafe, finally there is an outlet at Bukit Timah, at the Railway Mall, instead of the town area. The food for me... Was a mediocre? Wild Honey still beats them hands down, it still serves the best brunch I've ever had after all these months of brunch hunting!!!

So right, brunch was pretty much done and we headed over to this nonoperational railway track for some photos taking session hahaha. All the photos shown in this post are taken with my Nikon 1 J1 with the 18.5mm lens. If you wonder, how come the pictures look like some old photographs, that's because I got them edited with one of my iPhone apps which I paid for. I don't usually buy an app but when I do, it's always photography related apps hahaha I still think that's more worth it than asking me to buy a gaming app.

That's my bff for 11 years.
Shini got her to pose like this & I was the one photographing it.
GOT FEEL OR NOT?

Here's another shot of her!
hahaha, looks so lonely.

A shot of the railway track.
It stopped operating just the recent years...
Some said this track is gonna be demolished!

(I've no idea when is the track gonna be demolished or even at all if it will be demolished but nonetheless, just head there for a few photograph shoots! You don't have to worry about any incoming trains at all!)

Last Thursday/
I met up with Shini in the noon, main objective was actually... To watch my first ever R21 movie! Not R21 because of sexual scenes but R21 for the gore and violence. Also, to meet up with my bro so I could get my delayed birthday present & collect mom's mother's day present as well.

I was utterly late that day, almost 40-45 minutes late so the initial plan was to lunch at DTF but it was lunch hour and goodnesssss, we had to queue for DTF and running outta time, since we had a movie to catch, we ended up buying sandwiches from Sandwich Haven at Cineleisure. OMG YOU ALL SHOULD GO TRY THE SANDWICH, PARTICULARLY, THE ROSEMARY PARMESAN BREAD. If I know where they get their stocks for Rosemary Parmesan bread, I would also purchase a bag and eat it at home. The bread itself was so super chewy and sweet-smelling... I'm really surprised!! SUBWAY, Y U NO INCLUDE IT AS ONE OF YOUR BREAD CHOICES?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

It's been awhile since we settled our meal in the theater and we relived the experience again! Don't worry, we didn't eat during the movie because we finished the sandwich during the commercial hahaha we were really famished and I thought I would have to eat it while watching the gore scene but I was apparently wrong. There were a couple of movie-goers who came to watch the movie alone, no idea if it's because their friends are too young to watch it or they are also a little psychotic hahahaha love watching such gore movies.

The movie we watched was... Evil Dead. It's literally, evil, and dead. A lot of the bloody limbs tearing, chopping, stabbing scenes but I still can't get it why is it rated R21. It wasn't as gore as I thought it would be and definitely overrated. IMHO, it's more of a M18 movie man... Gore and disgusting movie should compare itself with Human Centipede, this is the only one movie I really really couldn't bring myself to sit still and watch it from the start to the end. It's just too sick. There are 2 parts for that movie and I heard the Human Centipede 2 is way disturbing than the first one. If you can handle such vomit-inducing movie, Evil Dead should be of a PG13 movie for you.

Paul!!
Shini wanted to try the desserts at Paul, situated at Ngee Ann City. She got all excited and immediately asked for the waiter to take our (or maybe, you could say... HER) orders. I had barely get to read the menu for 2 minutes and the waiter came... She ordered two desserts of HER choice, leaving me dumbfounded. So... Desserts came and we started tasting it. She ordered this Chocolate Tart & Strawberry something which she said there two are recommended by many others. I actually wanted to try the lemon tart but I was afraid that we might not finish 3 desserts in one go so I gave me lemon tart a pass.

Have an awesome mid-week!!
