The Best Thing About Me Is You
March 21, 2011Aloha!
Saturday was a movie marathon day!
These two are the movies I caught on Saturday itself:
It's hilarious and definitely worth your penny!
US Marines never give up.
A Marine platoon faces off against an alien invasion in Los Angeles.

Hokay, it was a Saturday..
Finally a day that I hanged out the whole day at town! It was actually an impromptu and unexpected date with two of my friends whom I don't usually meet and go out with. Well, I find it funny because on Friday night, 4 of my friends were asking me out on a Saturday! When I've no date, it's really bored like a bald man's hair dryer but when there's someone asking me out, I get dates 1 after another and it's all on the same day. Oh well, probably because they are only free on the weekends...
Yes, only 2 could confirm with me.
One was in the afternoon and another one was in the night so.. Basically, my Saturday was well-planned and enjoyable. OH, yes... For the other 2 friends, 1 told me he would update me about the dinner but he kinda FORGOTTEN about it (not once but twice already) and only replied me after his soccer when I was asking him about the job on Sunday. The other one... Sorry to say, though you asked me to be free on Saturday, but I just couldn't bring myself to wait for you the whole day for a not-really-confirmed date and I was glad that I went out with the fact that you only contacted me at 5pm. HAHA. Too bad, sometimes I just prefer to go out with a plan so I know my time will not be wasted.
Big Mommas; Like Father Like Son.
As you all know... The series of this movie has never really failed to make you laugh so enough said, watch it if you're bored or sad 'cos it definitely has the magic to make your cheekbones feel sore.
World Invasion: Battle Los Angeles.
US Marines never give up. I've always respected US Marines and am still respecting them after watching a few documentaries of Surviving the Cut on YouTube. They volunteered themselves to go through the toughest trainings in the world and if you do a little comparison with the NSF in Singapore, you will surely salute the US Marines. Sorry about the comparison, I'm not throwing negative remarks on local NS men but I'm just truly amazed by the US Marines.
So, a little about the movie!
A Marine Staff Sergeant who has just had his retirement approved goes back into the line of duty in order to assist a 2nd Lieutenant and his platoon as they fight to reclaim the city of Los Angeles from alien invader. Although the storyline is a little dumb, like hello?? Alien Invasion?! but sometimes there are also fictional story books around so are the movies! I still find it great because they really depict the whole concept of how they truly wanna save LA and also, the way each other was trying their best to help out. Oh my god, just go to the cinema and watch this movie!
Let's move on.. It was a.. SUNDAY!
Yes, I worked as a safety kayaker for the Aviva Ironman 2011. It was a horror for me, having to wake up at 0500hours when I only fell asleep at 0230hours. Waking up at 5am was only done when I rewind to my secondary school days. Anyway, it was for the sake of working so I couldn't bring myself to laze on the bed and further more, I had morning text from my awesomest bbf and also, a few minutes late missed call from my junior.
Aviva Ironman 2011.
Wooo, I witnessed all participants who swam the total distance of 1.9km in the sea and I was fascinated with their endurance and spirit to continue swimming. I'd probably be floating on the surface of the water like some dead fish after maybe.. 200m of swimming. x_x Sometimes the participants had no idea where they were swimming towards to, kind of out of the swimming course (which they would end up swimming more distance required) and I felt rather enervated for them just by watching them swim and swim and swim.
On the other hand, I was ENERVATED as well.
2 hours of sleep wasn't a sleep. It was a nap, N-A-P. This 2 hours of nap really had me going strong until the moment I boarded the bus to Paya Lebar MRT station. I was tuckered out since there was nothing else to do to keep me awake and then... The indescribable weariness actually wiped me out totally. Imagine, 1 of the juniors actually said "BYE, NJ!" to me 5 times before he eventually caught my attention - this shows how restless I was.
I crashed on the sofa as soon as...
I was done with unpacking and bathing. It's been a long time ever since I could fall asleep within split seconds, into DEEP SLEEP. The feeling was so omgz great, not having to worry about anything and slept like a baby. Woo, 4 hours of sleep and I was up again before heading to bed at 930pm and woke up an hour later, chilled on the bed before I slept through the night at 230am until this morning, where I had to spam my bbf with morning texts. Oh well, because he kinda overslept the actual time of waking up, I caught my 1111! HEHE.
On a.. :/ note,
Results are gonna be released really soon. 1100hours is the official time where all the students from School of ABE will receive their results on SAS and I guess, it's been a tradition that everyone will stay up late in the night to receive their results on the.. SP ichat email! Delivery of happiness or disappointment is always faster if you camp by the email and waiting for the results to be.. Knocking at your door. Sometimes, lucky enough and you will receive at 12mn or so, otherwise.. It would be at some ungodly hours, as early as 5am or 6am in the morning.
It's the last ever results I'll receive,
In SP. It's either I screw it and emo sleep, thinking what to do for my next phase of life or... I will be too elated to even sleep. I've no idea which of these categories I'd be falling into but I just hope... My results will not disappoint me and people around me? OMG. Sighhh... I shall enjoy the time I've now, staying happy before I get snapped back to the cruel reality, facing this crappy results of mine.
No use crying over spilled milk...
But then sometimes, you will just get upset and the only thing you can do is... Think of this and say it out loud then, putting it into action.
No, LOL. I mean in this case, I need to remember I'M awesome 'cos everyone's definitely awesome to someone in this world! Yes, and I know someone who always thinks that I'm awesome and always tells me not to think otherwise of being NOT awesome. So, I'm still gonna be awesome despite of the any outcome of my results and I'll get over it SOON if (touch wood, sigh..) it's not as great as I think it would be or share my happiness with my awesomest bbf if my results (hope for the best & be positive) are omgz, so fantastic.
Alright, what a long post.
I should stop here and get my dinner pretty soon! Anyhow, my friends are coming back tonight from Taiwan and I'm gonna receive many many goodies from them! HEHE.
Note to self: After today, more or less I've go no more worries anymore regarding my schooling life. It's either SIM or SMU, hope for the best and stay positive. I shall apply for SIM and SMU as soon as I get my results and then, hope SMU will call me up for interview! *Fingers Crossed*
Oh, okie, really one LAST thing.
AFTER TODAY, I WILL LOOK FORWARD (REALLY REALLY POSITIVELY HAPPILY) TO THE WEEKEND, SPA 27TH HANDOVER, DRIVING BOAT TO SISTERS ISLAND ON SUNDAY, MY OMG SO-GONNA-BE-A-MEMORABLE-AND-FANTABULOUS-BIRTHDAY-DINNER ON NEXT THURSDAY AND UPCOMING PENGARANG CYCLING TRIP ON APRIL.
P/S: I guess the only thing I'm not really looking forward to is... The end of April. Damn. :/
Okie, dokie, pok pok kay!
Have a good day, happy night, exciting tomorrow!
Xx,
